Volunteers

Volunteers are welcome at Hello Farm. We were long time WWOOF hosts in Japan, for our 10 years, and plan to register with WWOOF Canada soon. Once we have established our new farm operation and volunteer living accommodations, we will advertise and start welcoming helpers here at our new home in Havelock, Ontario, Canada.

WWOOF is an acronym for World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms. Registering with a WWOOF organization is ideal if you are looking to stay for longer periods of time on organic farms, anywhere in the world. Through the site you can view farm profiles and details and screen your search for the kind of experience you are looking for. For example, we focus on organic and heirloom vegetables, especially Asian veggies whereas you may wish to also learn about livestock or draft horse power at another farm.

Alternatively, if you are local and live within driving distance to Peterborough County please contact Hello Farm directly if you wish to volunteer for a day or two. Please note that we are in a very isolated location and you must have access to a car to visit us.

Here are some of our wonderful WWOOFers and volunteers from the past few years.

    Hello Hello Farm-

My husband and I are interested in volunteering on your farm for a day or two. We live in Uji and wonder what weekend would be the best time to come up and help out.

We are only free on weekends.

We love what you are doing!

    Thank you-

    Amy and Nobuto
